Wind of change (or maybe not)
My time at Manas is coming to an end, though I will remain a Core Team member and continue to help develop the project from that seat. Johannes (@straight-shoota) will be taking on the leading role of the project. Please join me in congratulating him on his new position!

The wind of change has swept through the Manas project, a dynamic open-source software development initiative. As the project's current leader, I am stepping back from my role, though I will remain a Core Team member, continuing to contribute to the project's development. This transition marks a significant milestone in the project's history, as Johannes, known by his Twitter handle @straight-shoota, takes on the leading role.
Johannes has been a vital part of the Manas project for some time now. Over the past year, due to the evolving dynamics of the project, I have been somewhat distant from its day-to-day operations. However, Johannes and Julien have expertly steered the project forward, ensuring its stability and progress. In fact, Johannes has effectively been the de facto leader, his contributions and dedication to the project evident in its continued success.
This change in leadership is not as drastic as it may seem. The core team has been working closely together, and the transition has been seamless. Johannes' appointment as the new leader reflects the strong foundation and collaborative spirit that has defined the Manas project from the start.
As I step back from my leadership role, I am excited to embark on a new chapter in my professional life. I will be leading the Theory of Computation group at ORT University, where I can immerse myself in teaching and research, two passions that have long been close to my heart. This new opportunity will allow me to explore my interests in Crystal, a programming language that has captivated me for years.
This transition signifies the end of an incredible journey that began four years ago. I have had the privilege of leading an exceptional team of individuals who have worked tirelessly to build and refine the Manas project. The language we have created together has not only been a testament to our collective efforts but has also garnered the love and admiration of the Crystal community.
I am deeply grateful for the experiences and lessons I have gained during my time with the Manas project, the Core Team, and the broader Crystal community. These experiences will stay with me forever, shaping my future endeavors in both academia and technology.
In closing, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to Johannes on his new position as the leader of the Manas project. I am confident that under his guidance, the project will continue to thrive and achieve new heights. To the entire Crystal community, thank you for your unwavering support and passion. Together, we have built something truly remarkable, and I am eager to see what the future holds for this incredible project.
