VR game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City launches on April 30

Everyone's four favorite anthropomorphic turtles are returning to the world of video games. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City will be released on April 30 for the Meta Quest, Steam VR and Pico. It is made by VR game company Cortopia Studios and will retail for $25.  Empire City is a first-person action game that youтАЩll be able to play solo or co-op with up to four people. And yes, that means all four of the turtles are playable. We've seen a lot of the quartet flexing their fighting form in games over the years, but this is their first time appearing in a standalone VR title. In addition to the shelled heroes, the first part of the new game's trailer highlights other familiar figures from the series, such as Karai of the Foot Clan and ripped rhino Rocksteady. And of course April is there providing pizza and intel. VR game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City launches on April 30

On April 30, fans of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will have a reason to celebrate as the iconic shelled heroes return to the world of video games with a new VR title, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City. Developed by VR game studio Cortopia Studios, the game will be available on Meta Quest, Steam VR, and Pico platforms, priced at $25. This is the first time the turtles have starred in a standalone VR game, offering players an immersive experience that combines action with the beloved characters.

Empire City is a first-person action game that allows players to enjoy solo gameplay or team up in co-op mode with up to four other players. This means fans can choose to play as their favorite turtle or even all four, each with their unique fighting style. While the turtles have appeared in numerous games over the years, Empire City marks their debut in a VR-exclusive title, providing a fresh perspective on their adventures.

The game's trailer, which has already been released, showcases not only the turtles but also other familiar faces from the series. Karai, the ruthless leader of the Foot Clan, and Rocksteady, the muscular rhino, are among the characters that players can expect to encounter. April O'Neil, the turtles' human ally, is also present, offering her trademark pizza and valuable intel to help the turtles navigate the city.

Cortopia Studios, known for their work in the VR industry, have crafted a game that promises to be both exciting and engaging. With the ability to play as all four turtles and the inclusion of iconic series characters, Empire City offers a unique opportunity for fans to step into the shoes of their favorite ninja turtles and explore the vibrant world of Empire City.

The release date of April 30 coincides with the turtles' annual Shell Shockers Day celebration, making it a perfect time for new and returning fans to dive into this VR experience. As the first-person perspective immerses players in the action, Empire City promises to deliver an unforgettable adventure that will have fans laughing, fighting, and eating pizza in equal measure.

In conclusion, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Empire City is set to become a must-have VR game for fans of the series and those looking for a fresh, immersive gaming experience. With its combination of beloved characters, co-op gameplay, and the thrill of VR, this title is poised to make a significant impact in the gaming world. As April 30 approaches, players can start preparing their VR gear and get ready to join the turtles in their latest epic adventure.

UI backwards compatibility
UI backwards compatibility
About once a month, an app that I regularly use will change its UI in a way that breaks muscle memory, basically tricking the user into doing things they donтАЩt want. Zulip In recent memory, Zulip (a slack competitor) changed its newline behavior so that ctrl + enter sends a message instead of inserting a new line. After this change, I sent a number of half-baked messages and it seemed like some other people did too. Around the time they made that change, they made another change such that a series of clicks that would cause you to send a private message to someone would instead cause you to send a private message to the alphabetically first person who was online. Most people didnтАЩt notice that this was a change, but when I mentioned that this had happened to me a few times in the past couple weeks, multiple people immediately said that the exact same thing happened to them. Some people also mentioned that the behavior of navigation shortcut keys was changed in a way that could cause people to broadcast a message instead of sending a private message. In both cases, some people blamed themselves and didnтАЩt know why theyтАЩd just started making mistakes that caused them to send messages to the wrong place.
