Top 5 fastest Indian films to enter Rs 1000 crore club so far

Hyderabad: Dhurandhar Box Office has rewritten Bollywood history, as Dhurandhar: The Revenge becomes the first Hindi film ever to cross the Rs. 1000 crore net mark in India. This milestone puts it in an elite league previously dominated by pan-Indian blockbusters. With this achievement, the film not only sets a new benchmark for Bollywood but also signals a major shift in audience reach, scale, and global appeal of Hindi cinema.

Directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, the film has delivered extraordinary numbers both in India and overseas. By Day 18, it collected around Rs. 30 crore, taking its India net total to approximately Rs. 1041 crore. The film had a phenomenal opening week of over Rs. 670 crore, followed by Rs. 260 crore in week two. Even in its third week, it continues to draw strong footfall, especially during weekends. Internationally, the film has earned close to Rs. 392 crore, pushing its worldwide total to around Rs. 1600 crore plus. The Hindi version has been the biggest contributor, while dubbed versions in South Indian languages also added to the overall success.

The film also features a strong ensemble cast including Sara Arjun, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and R. Madhavan, which has helped boost its appeal across audiences.

Dhurandhar: The Revenge's historic run has not only placed it among the biggest hits of all time but also changed the game for future Bollywood releases. The film's success has opened the door for other Hindi productions to achieve unprecedented milestones, reflecting the growing influence of Indian cinema on a global scale.

In the list of top 5 highest grossing Bollywood movies worldwide, Dhurandhar: The Revenge now stands at the second position with a worldwide total of Rs. 1600+ crore (running), trailing only behind Dangal, which grossed Rs. 2059 crore. The top five list is as follows:

1. Dangal – Rs. 2059 crore

2. Dhurandhar: The Revenge – Rs. 1600+ crore (running)

3. Jawan – Rs. 1160 crore

4. Pathaan – Rs. 1055 crore

5. Bajrangi Bhaijaan – Rs. 969 crore

This achievement not only highlights the potential of Hindi cinema but also underscores the importance of storytelling, marketing, and audience engagement in the film industry. As Dhurandhar: The Revenge continues to break records, it serves as an inspiration for filmmakers and a testament to the enduring appeal of Indian cinema worldwide.

The film's success also has implications for the future of Bollywood, encouraging producers and studios to invest in high-quality productions that can compete on a global stage. With Dhurandhar: The Revenge setting a new standard, the industry is poised to witness even more groundbreaking releases in the years to come.

In conclusion, Dhurandhar: The Revenge's journey to the Rs. 1000 crore milestone is a landmark moment for Indian cinema. It not only cements the film's place in history but also paves the way for a new era of Bollywood, characterized by record-breaking success and global recognition. As the film's impact continues to resonate, it serves as a reminder of the power of cinema to transcend boundaries and connect with audiences worldwide.

Clojure 1.11.3
Clojure 1.11.3
Clojure 1.11.3 is now available. CLJ-2843 - Reflective calls to Java methods that take primitive long or double now work when passed a narrower boxed number at runtime (Integer, Short, Byte, Float). Previously, these methods were not matched during reflection and an error was thrown. Java 21 added an overload to the method Thread/sleep in the 1-arity. When upgrading to Java 21, existing Clojure calls to Thread/sleep become reflective, but continue to work. As usual, you can detect reflection with *warn-on-reflection* and address with a type hint (here, ^long ) to choose the desired overload. Previously, passing a Short or Integer value to a reflective call like Thread/sleep that takes a long would not match, that has been corrected.
