noHold, founded in 2000 with an initial investment of $15 million, has developed an AI platform that major companies like Cisco, Dell, and McAfee utilize to engage their customers for pre and post-sales support. The end-user application is a Virtual Assistant capable of automatically understanding customer queries without human intervention. The company has been recognized as a Cool Vendor by Gartner twice, once in 2023 for AI Platforms and again for Conversational Interfaces.
Ventura's journey with noHold began after successfully closing a significant deal with a large Consumer Electronics manufacturer while running his previous company. However, the challenge of managing first-level support for the OEM deal led to the realization that automation was necessary. At the time, commercial AI options were scarce, so Ventura and his team decided to build their own solution, laying the foundation for noHold.
One of the key aspects that sets noHold apart is its sales approach. The company currently employs a direct sales strategy but has recently decided to expand by incorporating additional channels. This shift necessitates the need for well-documented product information, clear processes, and accessible pricing for both internal sales teams and external partners. To address this, noHold is leveraging its own platform to help sales managers create Virtual Assistants from existing documents used for training. These Virtual Assistants serve as a valuable resource for disseminating information efficiently and ensuring a seamless sales experience.
