Our favorite water pick for traveling is down to just $69 from $99

The Waterpik Cordless Advanced 2.0 Water Flosser, a popular choice for travelers seeking a fresh breath and clean teeth, is now available at an unprecedented discount. Amazon's Big Spring Sale has slashed the price of this top-rated travel water flosser from $99.99 to just $69.99, representing a 30% reduction. This deal is not only a steal but also one of the best value opportunities for this device that we've come across.

The Waterpik Cordless Advanced 2.0 Water Flosser, model WP-580, has earned its reputation as the best travel water flosser due to its perfect blend of portability and cleaning efficiency. Unlike many cordless models, this device offers the power and effectiveness needed to clean teeth thoroughly. It charges fully in just four hours using a magnetic charging base and boasts a battery life of approximately four weeks with regular use. This means that it can easily go the distance on long trips without requiring a charger.

One of the standout features of the Waterpik Cordless Advanced 2.0 is its waterproof design, allowing users to use it in the shower. Additionally, a water plug ensures that the reservoir remains sealed when not in use, making it ideal for travel. The ~7 oz. reservoir delivers roughly 45 seconds of flossing per fill, which is more than sufficient for most people's daily routines. A quick refill mid-session can extend the flossing time if needed. The 360-degree rotating tip further enhances its versatility, making it easy to reach even the most inaccessible back teeth.

The Waterpik Cordless Advanced 2.0 comes with four flossing tips and a travel bag, ensuring that users are well-equipped for any journey. It also carries the ADA Seal of Acceptance, a testament to its dental health benefits. At $69.99, this device is now 30% off its original price, making it an excellent choice for those on the fence about investing in a travel water flosser.

Amazon's Big Spring Sale isn't just about water flossers; it also offers significant discounts on electric toothbrushes and teeth whitening products. Philips Sonicare models are seeing some of the deepest cuts, with several options slashed by 30 to 40 percent. The Aquasonic Black Series Ultra Whitening Toothbrush, a budget-friendly option, is nearly half off at $29.95. Other Philips Sonicare models, such as the ProtectiveClean 5300, 6500, and ExpertClean 7500 Black, are also available at significantly reduced prices.

For those interested in teeth whitening, Lumineux strips are the highlight of the sale. Both the one-month and three-month kits are on offer, and they are peroxide-free and enamel-safe, making them a popular choice among consumers. The sale also includes a range of kits with LED accelerators, providing a convenient and effective way to achieve a brighter smile.

In conclusion, Amazon's Big Spring Sale presents an excellent opportunity for travelers to invest in a reliable and effective water flosser at a fraction of the original price. The Waterpik Cordless Advanced 2.0 Water Flosser, now priced at $69.99, is a must-have for anyone seeking a fresh and clean smile on the go. Additionally, the sale offers significant discounts on electric toothbrushes and teeth whitening products, making it a one-stop shop for dental care enthusiasts. With such attractive deals, it's the perfect time to upgrade your dental care routine for travel.

A simple way to get more value from metrics
A simple way to get more value from metrics
We spent one day 1 building a system that immediately found a mid 7 figure optimization (which ended up shipping). In the first year, we shipped mid 8 figures per year worth of cost savings as a result. The key feature this system introduces is the ability to query metrics data across all hosts and all services and over any period of time (since inception), so we've called it LongTermMetrics (LTM) internally since I like boring, descriptive, names. This got started when I was looking for a starter project that would both help me understand the Twitter infra stack and also have some easily quantifiable value. Andy Wilcox suggested looking at JVM survivor space utilization for some large services. If you're not familiar with what survivor space is, you can think of it as a configurable, fixed-size buffer, in the JVM (at least if you use the GC algorithm that's default at Twitter). At the time, if you looked at a random large services, you'd usually find that either: The buffer was too small, resulting in poor performance, sometimes catastrophically poor when under high load. The buffer was too large, resulting in wasted memory, i.e., wasted money. But instead of looking at random services, there's no fundamental reason that we shouldn't be able to query all services and get a list of which services have room for improvement in their configuration, sorted by performance degradation or cost savings. And if we write that query for JVM survivor space, this also

Context Engineering for Coding Agents
The number of options we have to configure and enrich a coding agent’s context has exploded over the past few months. Claude Code is leading the charge with innovations in this space, but other coding assistants are quickly following suit. Powerful context engineering is becoming a huge part of the developer experience of these tools. Birgitta Böckeler explains the current state of context configuration features, using Claude Code as an example. moreтАж

What does less protein and nitrogen mean for methane?
Does feeding less protein to cows over a longer period not only reduce nitrogen losses, but also affect methane emissions?
