Meta locks in up to $27B AI capacity deal with Nebius, signaling neocloud scale-up

Amsterdam-based neocloud provider Nebius has secured a significant five-year AI infrastructure deal with hyperscaler Meta, valued at up to $27 billion. Under the terms of the deal, starting in early 2027, Nebius will deliver dedicated NVIDIA Vera Rubin-based AI capacity with a total commitment of $12 billion. Arkady Volozh, founder and CEO of Nebius, expressed his satisfaction with the expanded partnership with Meta. "We are pleased to expand our significant partnership with Meta as part of securing more large, long-term capacity contracts to accelerate the build-out and growth of our core AI cloud business," Volozh said. This deal is expected to accelerate Nebius's expansion of its AI cloud product line and deepen its strategic alliance with Meta.

In addition to the initial $12 billion commitment, Meta has also pledged to purchase additional compute capacity worth up to $15 billion over the next five years. This further solidifies Meta's commitment to leveraging Nebius's AI infrastructure to support its own AI initiatives and services.

Nebius plans to resell its excess capacity to third-party customers, with Meta agreeing to purchase all unutilized capacity. This arrangement ensures that Nebius can efficiently manage its resources while also providing Meta with the flexibility to scale its AI operations as needed.
