Jeff Stelling, the 71-year-old veteran sports presenter known for his 29-year tenure fronting Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday, is set to star in a new reality TV series alongside his son. The announcement marks a significant expansion of Stelling's career, as he transitions from the world of sports broadcasting to the realm of popular reality television.

Stelling, who has become synonymous with Sky Sports' flagship football show, is now set to test his mettle in a completely different genre. The new series, which has already been filmed, will pit Stelling against other celebrities, including the children of well-known figures such as Katie Price and Peter Andre. Junior, 20, and Princess, 18, will join Stelling in the competitive mix of reality TV stars.

The decision to branch out into reality television comes as a natural progression for Stelling, who has long been a fixture in the British media landscape. His move from Sky Sports to talkSPORT Breakfast in 2021 signaled a willingness to explore new avenues, and this latest venture further cements his status as a versatile broadcaster.

The reality show, though not yet officially announced, is expected to draw significant attention given the high-profile participants. Stelling's experience in the spotlight, combined with his son's presence, adds an intriguing dynamic to the competition. Fans of both Stelling and the other celebrities involved are likely to be eagerly anticipating the premiere.

The involvement of Junior and Princess Andre, who are already familiar faces in the British media, adds an element of familiarity to the cast. Their inclusion suggests that the show may focus on family dynamics or intergenerational competition, offering viewers a unique perspective on the celebrities' relationships.

Stelling's transition from sports journalism to reality TV is a testament to his adaptability and willingness to take on new challenges. With a career spanning over four decades, he has built a reputation as a trusted and knowledgeable voice in sports, and this new venture will undoubtedly expose him to a different audience.

The exact nature of the reality show remains undisclosed, but the participation of such a diverse group of celebrities hints at a format that could be both entertaining and unpredictable. Stelling's experience in front of the camera, combined with his son's presence, may provide a compelling narrative arc that resonates with viewers.

As the show prepares for its launch, fans of Jeff Stelling and the other participants are left to speculate about the challenges they will face and the relationships they will form. The combination of experienced broadcasters and younger celebrities promises a mix of wisdom and energy, creating a potentially explosive on-screen dynamic.

In conclusion, Jeff Stelling's move into reality television marks a bold and exciting chapter in his illustrious career. With a wealth of experience under his belt and a supportive son by his side, Stelling is poised to make a significant impact in this new arena. As the reality show gears up for its premiere, fans eagerly await the opportunity to witness the unfolding drama and camaraderie among the high-profile cast members.

Clojure 1.11.3
Clojure 1.11.3
Clojure 1.11.3 is now available. CLJ-2843 - Reflective calls to Java methods that take primitive long or double now work when passed a narrower boxed number at runtime (Integer, Short, Byte, Float). Previously, these methods were not matched during reflection and an error was thrown. Java 21 added an overload to the method Thread/sleep in the 1-arity. When upgrading to Java 21, existing Clojure calls to Thread/sleep become reflective, but continue to work. As usual, you can detect reflection with *warn-on-reflection* and address with a type hint (here, ^long ) to choose the desired overload. Previously, passing a Short or Integer value to a reflective call like Thread/sleep that takes a long would not match, that has been corrected.
