Hyderabad’s Mohammed Firoz felicitated for saving minor girl from assault

In Hyderabad, a local hero named Mohammed Firoz was recently recognized for his bravery in saving an eight-year-old girl from an assault situation. The incident occurred on April 1st, when an auto driver named Salim from Mehdipatnam Hills Colony lured the young girl into his vehicle under false pretenses after her school ended. Salim took the girl to a secluded area in Golconda, where he subjected her to inappropriate behavior.

Mohammed Firoz, a responsible citizen, was passing by the mosque when he heard the girl's cries coming from a parked auto nearby. Without hesitation, Firoz intervened, confronting Salim and speaking to the distressed child. The girl tearfully explained that the auto driver had been behaving indecently. Salim, fearing detection, quickly fled the scene, leaving the girl alone in the secluded area.

Firoz's quick thinking did not end there. He immediately contacted the girl's father using the information provided on the ID card found in the auto, informing him of his daughter's location. The girl's parents had been anxiously waiting at the school entrance, unaware of the danger their child had faced. Abids Police constables noticed the distressed parents and, upon learning about the situation, located the girl and handed her back to her relieved family.

The Hyderabad City Police Commissioner, VC Sajjanar, commended Mohammed Firoz for his swift actions and responsible citizenship. Sajjanar highlighted that such initiatives by ordinary people are crucial in building a safer society. "These acts of courage are unstoppable and contribute significantly to maintaining law and order," he said.

The police swiftly arrested Salim on April 2nd and seized his auto. The case serves as a stark reminder of the need for vigilance and community involvement in preventing such incidents. Mohammed Firoz's actions not only saved the girl from harm but also demonstrated the power of citizens to take a stand against wrongdoing.

This inspiring story underscores the importance of community watch and the role that ordinary individuals can play in ensuring the safety of vulnerable members of society. As the Hyderabad City Police continue to work towards a safer environment, the recognition of heroes like Mohammed Firoz reinforces the message that collective efforts can make a significant difference.
