How I think

In today's live session, I delved into the intricacies of my cognitive processes, revealing the tools and techniques that shape my thinking and writing. This exploration took me on a journey through my personal and professional development, from the early days of handwritten outlines to the integration of AI-powered tools trained on a decade of my writing.

Growing up, I was an avid reader and writer, often scribbling down ideas and thoughts in notebooks. My early approach to thinking was rooted in handwritten outlines, which I used to organize my thoughts and structure my writing. These outlines were meticulously crafted, with each point carefully considered and refined. They served as a foundation for my essays, articles, and even speeches, helping me to articulate my ideas with clarity and precision.

As I progressed in my career, my cognitive processes evolved to accommodate the demands of a fast-paced world. The rise of digital tools and the increasing complexity of the topics I covered necessitated new methods for thinking and writing. This is where AI-powered tools came into play.

I began experimenting with AI systems trained on my decade-long body of work. These tools analyzed my writing patterns, identifying recurring themes, styles, and structures. By understanding my unique voice and approach, the AI was able to assist me in generating ideas, outlining content, and even drafting initial versions of my work.

One of the key benefits of using AI in my cognitive process is the ability to explore a wider range of ideas and perspectives. The AI tools can generate multiple drafts or outline variations, allowing me to consider different angles and refine my thoughts in depth. This collaborative approach not only enhances the quality of my work but also broadens my own understanding of the topics I write about.

However, my reliance on AI does not mean that my thinking has become impersonal or devoid of creativity. Instead, it has become more efficient and informed. The AI tools serve as an extension of my cognitive abilities, enabling me to process and synthesize information more effectively. They provide a supportive framework that allows me to focus on the core aspects of my work—creativity, critical thinking, and originality.

In addition to AI, I still maintain a strong connection to traditional methods of thinking. Handwritten outlines, mind maps, and brainstorming sessions remain an integral part of my process. These tools help me to visualize complex ideas and explore connections between seemingly disparate concepts. They also provide a sense of tangibility and immediacy that digital tools alone cannot replicate.

In conclusion, my cognitive processes are a dynamic interplay of traditional and modern methods, blending handwritten outlines with AI-powered tools. This unique approach allows me to harness the strengths of both worlds, resulting in a thoughtful and innovative writing practice. As I continue to evolve as a thinker and writer, I am excited to see how these tools will shape my future work and deepen my understanding of the world around me.
