HawkEye 360, a leading global provider of signals intelligence data and analytics, has announced the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors. Jonathan Shames and Frank Finelli bring a wealth of experience in finance, defense, aerospace, and national security, which will bolster the company's ongoing growth and mission impact.
Jonathan Shames, a seasoned professional with nearly four decades of experience in the financial and consulting sectors, joins the HawkEye 360 Board. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees and as Audit Committee Chairman for two Blue Owl Capital trusts: Digital Infrastructure Trust and Real Estate Net Lease Trust. In addition to his roles at Blue Owl Capital, Shames is a senior advisor with Highspring's Consulting division, where he assists organizations in addressing finance, technology, and business challenges.
Shames' extensive career at Ernst & Young LLP (EY) includes holding senior leadership positions that guided audit, accounting, and financial reporting practices. During his tenure at EY, he led numerous global engagements and served as the company's geopolitical leader. A licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Shames holds an Economics degree from Colgate University and an MBA in Finance from New York University.
Frank Finelli, another distinguished appointee, brings a background in defense and aerospace investments to the HawkEye 360 Board. Finelli spent over 25 years at The Carlyle Group, where he retired as Partner and Managing Director. During his time at Carlyle, he led major acquisitions and advanced cross-portfolio value creation initiatives, particularly in the defense and aerospace sectors.
Finelli's public service experience includes roles as Legislative Assistant to Senator Dan Coats on the Armed Services and Intelligence Committees, Special Assistant to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for the first Quadrennial Defense Review, and Associate Professor of Economics at the U.S. Military Academy. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder, Finelli is a distinguished graduate of West Point, with advanced degrees from MIT's Sloan School of Management and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
