FabCon and SQLCon 2026: Unifying databases and Fabric on a single data platform

Welcome to the third annual FabCon and our first ever SQLCon in Atlanta, Georgia. This year's event is set to bring together 8,000 attendees for nearly 300 workshops and sessions, focusing on the unification of Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Fabric into a single, cohesive data platform. Beyond product innovation, FabCon 2026 and SQLCon 2026 aim to provide a collaborative space for participants to share real-world experiences, learn from each other, and tackle challenges side-by-side. The event's momentum reflects the rapid growth and adoption of Microsoft's data portfolio, with Microsoft Fabric already serving over 31,000 customers and becoming the fastest-growing data platform in Microsoft's history.

The FabCon and SQLCon 2026 agenda is packed with sessions that highlight the integration of Microsoft SQL and Fabric. Attendees will explore the Database Hub in Microsoft Fabric, preparing their data estates for AI-driven insights. The event will also delve into Microsoft OneLake Processing, emphasizing the importance of harmonizing data and leveraging Fabric analytics for better decision-making. Additionally, participants will gain insights into creating semantic meaning with Fabric IQ, a tool designed to transform raw data into actionable intelligence.

Fabric data and operations agents will be another focal point, showcasing how these agents can empower organizations to act on data more effectively. The event will also explore the development of mission-critical applications using Fabric, with a focus on enhancing developer experiences. For organizations looking to modernize their existing Azure services, the conference will provide guidance on migrating to Fabric, ensuring a seamless transition to the unified data platform.

The Coca-Cola Company, a Fortune 500 company already using Fabric at scale, will share its experiences with evolving its data foundation into a more unified and AI-ready ecosystem. By combining Fabric with Power BI and capabilities like Fabric IQ, enterprises can turn data into intelligence and respond to opportunities faster.

SQL Server 2025 is also making waves, growing more than twice as fast as its predecessor. The event will explore the synergies between SQL Server and Fabric, demonstrating how these technologies can work together to create a robust, unified data platform.

In addition to product demonstrations, FabCon and SQLCon 2026 will foster a collaborative environment where attendees can connect, learn, and innovate. The conference's emphasis on real-world problem-solving and peer-to-peer learning will help participants move beyond hype and achieve meaningful results.

As the data landscape continues to evolve, FabCon and SQLCon 2026 serve as a crucial platform for industry leaders, developers, and data professionals to come together, share knowledge, and drive innovation in the realm of unified data platforms. With the rapid growth of Microsoft Fabric and SQL Server, this event is poised to shape the future of data management and analytics in the years to come.
