One of the key schemes mentioned in the update is the 2025 Basic Income Support for Sustainability (BISS) and Complimentary Redistributive Income Support for Sustainability (CRISS). This week, €469,810 was paid out under these schemes. The total amount paid through BISS and CRISS now stands at €841.7 million, with 118,596 farmers receiving payments. These updates highlight the continuous efforts of the DAFM to support farmers through various schemes, ensuring that the agricultural sector remains sustainable and viable. The recent payments under different schemes demonstrate the department's commitment to providing financial assistance to farmers, helping them navigate the challenges of modern farming. As the agricultural landscape evolves, the DAFM's ongoing support through these schemes plays a crucial role in safeguarding the livelihoods of farmers and the overall health of the agricultural sector.
