Congress taking help from Pakistani to defame me and influence election: Himanta Sarma hits back at Pawan Khera

In a recent development, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma accused Congress leaders Pawan Khera and Gaurav Gogoi of collaborating with Pakistani groups to defame him and his wife, Riniki Bhuyan Sharma. Sarma held a press conference where he revealed that Congress had presented a UAE passport in Riniki's name, despite the UAE only issuing long-term or golden visas to non-Emirati citizens. Additionally, Khera's display of an Egyptian passport was found to belong to Ashraf Abdelkader Abelsamad Hussain, further highlighting the authenticity issues.

Sarma pointed out that all the fake data and documents were sourced from two Pakistani social media groups, "Pakistani in Ajman" and "Tipu Sultan." During the press conference, Sarma also unveiled the registration of a fake company in the US, ostensibly in the name of Congress leader Gaurav Gogoi and his wife, Elizabeth. He stated, "This is how Congress made a fake Wyoming LLC for $199 (in fact, they created one after their PC). We also made an LLC in Wyoming called GauravElizabeth786."

Riniki Bhuyan Sharma filed an FIR against Pawan Khera and the company involved in the fabricated allegations. Sarma expressed concern over the involvement of Pakistani elements in the entire episode, stating that Pakistani television channels have been airing talk shows for the past 10-15 days. He claimed that Pakistan is attempting to influence the outcome of the Assam election to aid a specific individual.

Sarma emphasized that such dangerous fabrication of misinformation ahead of the election to influence results is a criminal offense punishable by life imprisonment under the BNS Act. He assured that the Assam police would act in accordance with the law. Furthermore, Sarma asserted that the entire episode is being orchestrated by Pakistan, and using an enemy nation to influence the Assam election results is a crime against the nation.

He directly accused Pawan Khera of seeking help from Pakistan to manipulate the Assam election outcome, which he described as a serious allegation. The incident has raised concerns over foreign interference in India's electoral process and the potential use of fake documents and social media to undermine the integrity of elections. As the Assam election approaches, this incident underscores the need for vigilance and action against such malpractices to ensure a fair and free election.
